Maura, my new hairstylist and a friend from church, is a genius. It's like she was able to communicate on some level with my hair. I have never had a haircut like this. I can't mess it up! You want to know how good this girl is? I can't even find a hairbrush... have not located it in days, and I just blew dry my hair with my fingers, no comb, no products... and it actually looks good. Now, if you see me tomorrow and think my hair looks like nothing special, then you just don't understand how bad it usually looks! It is kinky and wavy and frizzy and it's like it has two different textures. Normally I wrestle with it just to get it to look halfway decent, and then I always wind up with it back and up anyways. But now, now I can do almost nothing, and it looks like something. I think she is just such a perfectionist and has a natural talent. The haircut took over an hour and she cut it wet and again when it was dry.
If you live in Melbourne, go see her at Regis at the Melbourne Square Mall! Just so you know, she is really gorgeous. At first I felt inclined to dislike her a wee little bit (inner cattiness coming out, I am ashamed to say) but now I just love her. She is so smart, super talented, and just a very, very lovely person.
