I was gone for a day over the weekend. I stayed the night at my Mom's because we had to get up early and drive to Ft. Pierce for me to take some tests at the college down there. A lot of times when I am out and about, the kids find flowers and pick them for me, and give them to me when I come back home. Well, Jonathan found this cool bug while I was gone, and he wanted me to be able to see it. So Dave took a picture of it, and Jonathan showed it to me, and said, Here Mama, that's your present.
He thought I would like it because "it is all red and a little pink." This tree is home to lots of these bugs, and Jonathan studies it a lot, and he has never found one quite like this. Even though I am not a fan of bugs, I do like this one, because it was something special he found, that he really loved, and he thought of me, missed me, and wanted me to be able to see it too. It almost made me cry. A gift straight from the heart of a 5 year old boy. He's so thoughtful, wanting to share his treasures with me.
