Words from Today

Mama, I wonder how small an ant is to God. Jonathan in the car, casually, like he was asking me about what we were having for lunch.
Mama, there is this boy at school that everyone is in love with. I'm not even kidding. Everyone, even the BOYS. I am in love with him too.
Me: No, you aren't, Anna. You are NOT in love... You don't even know what that means.
A: YES I DO! It means you want to marry him when you grow up.
Me: No, you aren't getting married!
A: Yes, I am! To, C. from school! But not till we are grown ups! (With a major hint of DUH in her voice.)I start to tell her that she should set her sights on someone that the entire preschool class isn't in love with... How will she ever compete? But then I realize this is inappropriate on several levels. And this is Anna... have you seen her? Cause she is gorgeous.
Jonathan leans over to take a drink out of my Coke. I screech at him, NOOO! (mostly because I wanted to avoid catching his puking virus from yesterday).
He looks at me calmly, and says, what is the matter?
I take my straw out and put another one in, telling him about viruses and also the issue of Coke being bad for him. Being Jonathan, he asks, logically, without a hint of attitude, Well, then why do you drink it?
I reply, Because I am a grown-up! I can make my own bad choices! When you grow up, you can make bad choices, too!
He just blinks at me calmy and then turns away, saying nothing. Just like his Daddy.

On this day...in 2010. Art Work and Computer Time

Jonathan and Anna. They are a lot alike in a lot of ways. :)
One of Jon's spongebob pics.
Another one... And below this is what I call his Evil Flowers period. He was drawing a lot of beautiful yet angry flowers.

Everyday Anna

Nona bought Anna a Build A Bear kit. It required sewing far beyond my ability (which is very little to none). After two hours and a very impatient Anna, we had a bear.

Anna looks cute in my glasses. Okay, she looks cute in everything.

Anna had her outfit picked out weeks before St. Patrick's Day. It was VERY important to her. She asked me, Mama, do they really pinch little children? I told her, not at her school. :)

One thing I have noticed about Anna lately is she is starting to gain more patience and stick to it-ness. She made this Lego creation and was very proud of it, as was I! She has been able to work on jigsaw puzzles by herself lately also.

What does it take to wear our Anna Banana out? A full day of school, play, and horseback lessons, a bath, followed by more playing, and then she will finally fall asleep watching cartoons in living room!

Anna loves to copy words. She copied the word Freedom off of her t-shirt. I think that is why it is backwards.

Anna and Jonathan have been attending AWANA since January. They are still eager to go every week and they have been keeping up with their verse memorization. Jonathan is really into reading the Bible on his own.
Anna picked me a bouquet from the yard.
Anna is learning to write and copy words. There are some words she can already remember and spell on her own, but others she copies from around the house.
Nona took us out to a lunch at Fujiyama. Anna got in the Kirin boat for a picture opp.

Anna and me went on a special date while the men went to a baseball game.

Anna is growing her hair back out and she let me put it in these little pigtails. She is so cute! She is completely ready to go to Kindergarten.
